bulkvendingwizard
I have been beating my head off the wall trying to decide weather or not to use the extended globe beavers that i have or the standard globe beavers. The extended globes are larger and hold more product. I was thinking about using the extended globes for the hair salons that I am going to just be putting PMM in. I was considering doing doubles with the smaller globes and using the extended globes for my racks that ill be putting 1" capsules in. I setup a double head with standard globes in a pizzeria but now i am thinking that i should be using the extended globes. My thoughts are with the standard globes if they run out before the 30 day cycle the machine will be sitting empty not making any money. If i used the extended globes only on my singles and doubles then I could extend the service day to 45 days instead of the 30 day cycle. So i guess what i am asking you is what machines or locations should i use the extended globes in or should i use all the extended globes in all locations and sell the standard size globes? bacho
Wow! This is one hell of a dilemma. If it were me, I would place all the machines and not worry about the machine going empty. But, this is just may fantasy world. Maybe someone else can give you a better idea. This is a real tough one.

Use extended globes for toy caps. You will use more caps than gum and candy
will.vend
the smaller globes will be better suited for candy because you can put less and decrease spoilage
bulkvendingwizard
will that was my first intial thought using smaller globes for the candy products but then i thought that since i am vending single head PMM in hair salons that I would use the extended globes and check the machines every 45 days compared to every 30. The larger globes hold 3 bags of PMM where the smaller hold 2 bags of PMM. With that said my thought was that if it sold a bag of pmm every 15 days then doing a 45 would be the same amount of vends and i would decrease the amount of gas expense. I was going to setup 10 locations just like this primarily being hair salons and checking the machines every 45 days. I am just seeking some advis from those who have more experience. Please let me know your thoughts. Shawn
dperry
In all my vending career, I've never had a need for an extended cap, especially for a 30-day cycle. In most cases, when vending candy, the head is always too big and I've constantly looked for ways to make small amount of candy look like more, even in the smallest globes live vista 300s. The Mage
You really don't want to be putting a ton of candy out until you know how the location does. When I first place a machine, I like to check it in a week or two, and get an idea of how busy it is going to be. I then stretch it out until it fits into my route. It is best to start with a small machine, and only put the bigger one in if it needs it. The last thing you want to do is fill a large machine with candy, and come back a month later to find it full, and 50¢ in it. A lot of people mistakenly think you have to fill the machine up. All the Biz-Ops tell their new marks, uh I mean customers, to fill up the machines. But they are just trying to convince people that all that candy will be gone, and the machine will be full of money in no time. If you can put 2 bags of PMM's in a machine, (that's what fits in my Northwestern triple,) that is 112oz of candy. But I am happy with my locations if that head is selling 16oz in a month. (Average/Mean) That would mean it would take 7 months to go through all that candy. Right now I try to figure out how much candy a location goes through in a service cycle, and keep about twice that in there. This keeps the candy fresh, and gives me a little leeway in case I need to push up my service cycle. (Happened a lot last year.)

Shawn you might be thinking to much! Fine tune your machines and locations after you have had them out for a few months, not before you place them. If your locations are fairly close by then gas isnt going to be a factor. I would not fill them up regardless of what size globe you go with, I have read somewhere that a 3/4 full machine looks better than a full one. It makes the customer buy because they feel others are buying.
West Coast Vend LLC
I would wait until you are running out of PMM every month, for 3-5 months, until you add extended globes. You never want to have that much stock seating there. What if ants get into the head? What if the sun melts the product. In either case, you have to throw away all the product. Do you want to throw away 3 bags or 1 bag of PMM's? A single bag each month gives your customers the freshest product every month.
