SebaVending
I have had this National 145 on location for about a year now with no problems. All of a sudden most of the keys on the keypad stopped working. None of the letters work, only numbers 6-10 work. I bought a new ribbon cable and keypad and replaced it but the same number buttons still dont work. The machine has a UCB installed on it. At this point my best guess is that there is something wrong with the control board. Have any of you seen this before? Any suggestions? AngryChris
Wow. Do any of those keys work in service mode?

AZVendor
That does sound like a problem in the UCB but it could be the interconnecting harness that extends from the board to the keypad. Is there still an extension harness from the board to the keypad now that the UCB is installed? If you have another 145 machine try the intermediate harness from it on your keypad and see if it works properly. If that extension harness doesn't fix it then you know it's the UCB. Golfdogs
I ALWAYS start with the door switch on my National vendors. 90% of the time, this is the cause of any problems with my machines.
