Tymcftw
Beginner here. Just leased 2 machines to install at my workplace to make a little extra cash. 1 snack / 1 soda (cans). Went to Sam's and bought all my product, but, I was wondering if there was somewhere else where I could get a better deal? I'm in the Dallas - Fort Worth area (Mid-cities). I'm having to meet the prices that the previous vendor had in place, which were ridiculously cheap, so I really need to find the best deals I can on product. I tried searching the forum before I posted but didn't have much luck. But, feel free to point me in the right direction if there's already another thread regarding this. Thanks!! AZVendor
You will regret only charging low prices and you will need to get them higher or you'll lose money due to the stales you'll have in the snack machine. Running less than 5 snack machines means you could throw out more product than you sell. There's a reason that vending companies are in business and it's economy of scale - not to mention selling at market pricing or above. Don't give in. Fight for your pricing. Tymcftw
Thanks for the advice AZ. I am worried about having stales. I'm going to try and stay on top of it and get a good idea of what the folks actually want (I work there, so I'm already there every day). And, hopefully I can get the prices up without too much blow back from management. The guy that was there before was selling -all- snacks for .60! Don't know how he was making any money.. Tymcftw
Yeah.. He was really not maintaining the machines (not accepting dollars, bad compressor, etc). So, I approached management to get him out. Now I see why he didn't put up a fight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk If that is the case then you went about the "negotiation" the wrong way by price matching the old vendor even though you where willing to update equipment and offer better service. I suggest you get prices where they need to be as soon as possible. That may be a tough nut to crack since you have already set the stage of where you are at. lacanteen
If you are in one of these areas, Stacy Williams Co has always been a friend of the small vendor.
