57thTom
I was filling the snack machine this afternoon and a customer told me that it wouldn't take coins. I looked it over and it appeared very dusty. I found the tech guy and got a can of air to blow the dust off and it worked, but I know that is not enough. Do I need to take this coin mech off to find the model number. It's a coinco mech. Dang, looking at the picture I see that it is a Mars mech. AZVendor
That's a Mars 6512 MDB. If you need an exchange unit you can email me at rbepic4gatgmaildotcom.
Southeast Treats
A dirty flight deck can cause that problem, clean the sensors with a clean moist wipe - don't use alcohol, it can degrade the plastic. Mechs may also need "tuning", running multiple coins thru to reset the sensors, there are other people here who can explain that better than me. A mech that is acting up in the field and doesn't respond to tuning usually needs to get swapped and sent to the bench for service ....
