MNvending
Do any of you use paraffin wax on the drink columns? I was told to use it to keep the drinks sliding smoothly. However, the drinks slide extremely well just the way it is and I’m wondering if it’s something that needs to be done, or if it’s just a preference. I kinda thought that the wax might help protect the columns from getting pitted and creating extra friction over time, but I’m not sure. Is this something any of you do, or do you not worry so much about it? If you do use it, do you put it on with heat, or do you just rub it on? Any info would be great! Thanks Edited November 10, 2017 by MNvending
AngryChris
Food grade silicone works but leaves a residue. In the event that theslides have too much friction, replace them.
AZVendor
Food Grade Silicone spray is the proper product to use. The slides are impregnated with silicone when new which can wear off over the years. Dirt is the biggest culprit of poor sliding of products. When they get that dirty though it's usually time to replace the slides.
