LarryNDSU
Model number looks to be DCB 290/170-5 Is there something in the coin collection process that should start some sort of relay. The coin is a CoinCo S75-9800A Could this just be damaged, is there a way to check and fix or put something different in that will connect to the existing machine connections etc. Thanks
AZVendor
Post a photo of the inside of the door where the coin mech is and all other objects on that door. This could be a bad obsolete coin mech, a motor not at home due to a bad motor switch or bad motor brake or less likely, a bad credit relay. LarryNDSU
It was working fine then stopped all of a sudden, the coins seem to fall with no resistance and nothing gets triggered, it used to make a little noise or something I remember as you would make a selection. AZVendor
Okay, standard setup with the credit relay in black to the left of the coin mech plug. The relays rarely go bad. You should definitely replace the obsolete coin mech with any single price Coinco or Mars coin mech such as Coinco 9340S or 9360S or Mars 6200, 6800 or 6800H. You likely have a motor that is off home. There are two switch arms on each motor cluster switch. When any motor is at home the long arm needs to be on the high side of each motor cam and the short arm will be in a notch of the motor cam. If one motor is not found this way then you either have a jammed column, a gummed up motor switch, a gummed up motor brake or a bad motor. This will cause an open in the vend circuit. Look at each motor to see if the switches are as described.
cvending
if it continues to accept coins after you have reached your price point, my guess is your coin mech needs serviced. You can send it in for repair or replace it with another. MEI 6800, MEI 6800H, CoinCo 9360 will all work. This is a single price machine where all selections sell for the same price. AZVendor
You can't get the S75s repaired and you shouldn't want to.
LarryNDSU
Ok, order a new CoinCo 9360 and install it that might be the easiest thing to do.
LarryNDSU
Here is a picture of the motors, they all look like there the same etc.
AngryChris
I don't know if there are others but you better make sure that 9360S says exactly 9360S
Vend Biz
I'll have to check, but I may have a 9360-S coin mech at home. I'll log in and let you know if I have one. Edited April 19, 2022 by Vend Biz
