Mike4
Is updating eprom on a DN S2D board as simple as pulling one chip and replacing it? I’m wanting to get a card reader on it and eprom I think is outdated. 380.91 Mike
tblake05
I think the hardest thing is to not bend any pins. Make sure they are all lined up and push straight down. Pay attention to the orientation of the chip also.180 off and it will fry the chip and also maybe the control board.
Mike4
Can it easily be done still in the machine or does it need to be pulled and put on a flat surface? Also, what programming will need to be done once it’s swapped. Pricing?
AZVendor
Easy to swap while in the machine and you'll have to reprogram everything, pricing, STS, etc.

I think someone soldered this battery in but I will definitely get one just in case. Thanks!
AZVendor
Oftentimes they are hot glued in place. If it's standing upright then the battery holder is soldered in but not the battery.
