Aus
I think it's a mixture of things. I can't tell you anything from experience (yet), but from reading through loads of threads, I've come to conclude the following.. It must be a place with a lot of traffic and cash flow. From what I've heard, that's really the main criteria when it comes to location. Now, whether or not you'll make money from said location is a different story because you have to know what the consumers at these locations like/want. Candy/GBs will do well with both kids and adults. That being said, a rack of toys in a bar is probably not going to go over very well ( depending on how drunk people get, I suppose. :] ). From what I've read, it seems best to put different things in different locations, and tweak as necessary.

From what I've read, it seems best to put different things in different locations, and tweak as necessary. Precisely. The only "bad" location is one where there isn't sufficient traffic to warrant a machine. Where that level is is varies from vendor to vendor. If you have the traffic, it all comes down to product and machines, but mostly product. If your machines look good, and you get the right product, you will go far. The problem with that of course is that finding the "one" product is a trial and error process that can go on forever it seems.

dogcow
Mexican restaurants, grocery store, attended laundromat, tire shop i do pushers in my unattended mats just 1) bolt down using heavy bolts to floor and sink into concrete wall behind or studs 2) use heavy lexan instead of glass 3) reinforce outside using diamond treadplate and expanded aluminum over the lexan i use old "short boy" mcgreggor knock offs ...makes TONSSSSS of money but i use the ones that are beat to hell to place anywhere else at the end of their life so if it gets stolen big deal. also u gotta service a few times a week ron or someone should really build a high security pusher for unattended mats cause they are a huge gold mine IMO full service gro stores with produce and meat depts, chinese buffet6s, mexican restaurants, used to have goood skate rinks but not anymore, walk in chicken restaurants, pizza places, strip clubs and porn shops. strip clubs really? what do u put there? how much commission do u pay? are they up front or bck in the locker room ?
