cokebeatspepsi
I recently put in a whole new compressor and the everything went well. Two days later the machine stopped working. It is on and the cans are cold however the machine isn't lit up and the sold out lights for my empty columns aren't lit up? The quarters fall right to the bottom of the coin return and my dollar bill acceptor never worked from the start. If the coin mec broke wouldn't the sold out lights still be on? It's a Dixie narco bubble cola machine.
AZVendor
You should always post the model number of the machine and if it's a single or multiprice machine. If your florescent lights were working before and aren't now, assuming they aren't just burned out, you might have disconnected the door power which is down in the lower left corner of the cabinet by where the compressor plugs in. There will be a two wire black barrel plug made of rubber that is the connection. If that's not the issue then if it's a single price machine you probably have one column with a motor off home. Home position on any motor will be when the short motor switch arm is in a notch of the motor's timing cam and the long switch arm is on the high side of the cam. Any motor not in this home position is the cause of the open vend circuit which results in what you're describing.
cokebeatspepsi
So how do I get it to close? It is model # dncb 368cc/216-7 . I removed all the cans and still none of the sold out lights come on or accept coins.
CajunCandy
Like Az said check the plug it looks like a barrel with wires coming out of both ends, that sends power to inside door. Cooling deck will run if that plug is not plugged in, but machine will not take change or dollars and no lights will work. It is located down left hand side of machine, with a bunch of wires from machine to outer door. cajun
cokebeatspepsi
I checked the wiring and removed the cover to to the bunch of wires by the bottom door and see a transformer that looks fine. I'm guessing the next step would get a tester and see if power is going in or out from there.

rmorris1953
That stack plug is most likely has arched in side and not making contact, Get a male and female plug and replace the stack plug making sure you unplug the vendor and put the female on the same side as the one you cut off,
cokebeatspepsi
I opened the main plug there and everything looks fine. The weird part is im getting power to everything but only the compressor works and the change machine returns the change when I push the button so that seems fine
AngryChris
What do you mean it returns change when you press the button? Does the change go into the coin mech and get DISPENSED after you press the coin return? If so, then you might have a bad bill acceptor. Assuming this is a single price, unplug the barrel plug near the compressor to remove power from the electronics. Next, unplug the big Jones plug that goes to the validator as well as the small plug that's directly connecting the coin mech to the validator. Make sure the coin mech is actually plugged in via its own Jones plug though. Now try to purchase a soda with change only. If it works, your validator or harnesses are bad. If nothing works still, you should replace the coin mech.
