AngryChris
Are the evaporator fans interchangeable between the e series and previous 501t models? I have a 501t that I am parting out and I have a 600e on location that's freezing up (evaporator is solid frost, soda is warm). I'm assuming it's a bad/stuck evaporator fan/motor. AngryChris
Thanks. Also, I have never changed out an evaporator fan. Do you simply pull the deck out and disconnect the fan and take it out with screws?
AZVendor
Yes. There is one screw that holds the fan bracket in place along with a ground wire screwed to the fan shroud, then the bracket lifts out of a slot behind the shroud. The wires to the motor end in connectors that can be tough to fit through their hole in the shroud so you might need to cut the connectors off so they can be added to the new fan wiring. Once you have the fan bracket out then the motor is held to it with three screws and each hole in the bracket has a rubber grommet to eliminate vibration. Save the grommets because you need them intact on the new motor.
