AmJam vends
How difficult is it to win a bid for a school district (public)?
orsd
Depends. Details? Like number of machines, what kind of district (small, rural or large urban). What do they want? How many competitors in the area? Is the district run by corrupt shitbags?
Poplady1
Districts are having a hard time finding vendors willing to provide what they request in their bids. So you might be the only one bidding on some districts.
Mehehe
We have no snack machines in our district and Pepsi provides all the machines. The problem is how little they make now with the smart snack regulations. The business office said that Pepsi's commission payments to the school have dropped about 80% since the new guidelines came through. The pop machines are on all day but there is only diet/gatorade/water/propel/kickstart in the machines.
Poplady1
I can only speak about California schools. Most of the schools allow the snack machines on at final bell until 30 minutes before next morning bell. Yes, school businesses took a big hit with the new negulations but (and there is always a butt) vendors still put National best sellers in the machines as long as they are off during school hours. And they do well.
