Page R
Like was suggested on here I purchased a MEI 2511 to replace my old metal Maka. But now when I go to put it in I can't seem to figure out where it plugs in. It appears that I might need some sort of adapter harness. Cam someone point me in the right direction? AngryChris
Like what was suggested here in the forum, you need the proper harnessing to hook up the validator. Assuming the MAKA you are replacing was 110v, then this harness should work but I got rid of all of my MPCs (if that's what it is).https://snackattacknow.com/product/maka-to-mars-vn-conversion-cable-110v/
Southeast Treats
I just did one today, when you get the harness you will also want to set dip switches 7 and 8 on the replacement validator to credit line. The hookup is easy, but if the maka attaches to the machine top and bottom instead of 4 posts around the bezel, you will also need mounting adaptors. The AP145 adaptor kit from Vending Center has the hardware and the cable. I was able to frankenstein it in to an old USI 2999.....
AZVendor
Leather gloves for changing a bill validator? LOL. You have to remove the Maka control box that you are holding to begin with. DOH!
Page R
Ha ha, yeah, doesn't get below zero very often this early in the year but it was that day! Maybe someday when I get big I'll be able to work outside without gloves in that weather 😁 Thanks for the suggestion @AngryChris, they got me what I need.
