AMD Snacks
Hey all, there's an old post talking about price points and mechs etc. I'm wondering what's the common practice on this forum, bump an old thread with a new question... Or ask a similar question in a new thread? My other question is, are 2" cap mechs at $.50 trash now? I bought some upgrades to $.75 and most the big guys around here only do $1.00 for 2". Is there products that sell for $.50 in 2"? Maybe BB? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using Tapatalk
musser
All two inch products sell at 50 cents but you won't make any money, I have tried to push a dollar but didn't have a lot of luck with it so I am mostly at 75 on my 2 inch. The only place a dollar has really worked for me is theaters and bowling centers,
AMD Snacks
Thanks for the reply...are the national vendors doing $1 in your area...all the major grocery stores like Walmart and Safeway are $1 here...hard to tell if they're selling though. But if $.50 isn't worth it I'll just avoid it. I guess it all boils down to rotation for me. But since I don't have racks yet, it's hard to tell an average vend per month. I hear years ago people saying $7/mo per head on candy...not sure what the average for toys is tho... vendbend
I found out the other day individually wrapped fortune cookies fit in a 2" cap and they cost about 7 cent each so that I am going to try fortune cookies for 50 cents
antoniocinisi
interesting idea vendbend! Servise vending does $1 on 2 inch and the machines always seem to be pretty full. my vote is for revive old threads rather then start new.

PerformaVending
Generally, if you have a new question it's best to start a new thread than to bump old ones. I can only speak for myself, but I'd much rather just answer your question(s) than have to wind my way through a pile of old posts that are vaguely related. In a similar vein, your question then becomes it's own thread, and thus is searchable both here on the forums and by search engines out there, making it easier for new (and existing) vendors to find out the information you seek as well. There is no shortage of threads. Open as many as you like. For your other question, when it comes to 50 cent mechs, I still have some out there, though I've been moving as much as I can up to 75 cents or a dollar. Some products just won't sell at a buck, but that's part of the challenge as far as I'm concerned. I still run my leftovers, mustaches, and the "Thunder Sticks" at 50 cents though. There's some money to be made at 50 cents, but why work harder for less money?
