AP7600-Credit Card column mapping

Recommended Posts

I have an AP7600, with a USA Technologies credit card reader. I just realized that the column mapping templates in the USAlive do not match my AP7600 columns, for example, my B column starts with B1, whereas the usalive B Column template starts with B5 so when I do a test vend for B1 on the machine all I am getting is on my report is 0000, same for C, D,E and F columns.

Does anyone have a good template that I can use.  instead of using A1,A3 etc, I want to put the product names in each selection

for example:

A1= Snickers

A2=Doritos

this is the template from USA Technologies

the original board

???

Can't be. The factory board on these machines did not support CC readers or sales data.

It most certainly is an aftermarket/retrofit board. Question is, which brand? The two most common are Vendors Exchange UCB and inOne. If you can't figure it out, just post a pic and we can tell you.

If you are getting 0000 no matter what selection you choose, that's because your converter kit does not transmit the data you need for column mapping.  You may be able to add MDB components and take cards, but you probably won't be able to know which selections were chosen.  I don't think those kits can do that, which is why the majority of us recommend just getting a new board to do all of that.

Yep, the converters have trouble reporting which selection, as that info is not transmitted over the MDB cable.

In order to get sales info, you must have and aftermarket board capable of the DEX protocol. The USAT modem can then get the info through that.

you have to have dex

No, you do not have to do a DEX-reading to map colums. As stated before in this thread, just a board that reports through MDB.
