I just remind them I'm not selling candy and soda, I'm selling convenience. If they still argue. I remind them I'm not forcing them to buy anything. They are free to go to the convenience store any time.... And pay more, plus pay sales tax. I’ll say it again. stick to your guns. You deserve to make some money. I’ve found that 9 times out of 10, the ones who complain them most don’t buy anything out of the machines anyway. we’re increasing our can prices from .75 cents to 1.00 come summer. Can’t wait for the complaining to start.
Popular Post Gamvend
There's really no point in having a business if you can't make a reasonable profit. When customers or potential bring up the issue of our prices being to high I remind them that it costs us money every time we service a location and because it costs us money to service we need to make a reasonable profit on each item so that we can go out there as often as they want us to make sure the machines stay stocked. I tell them that they can have the best service or the lowest prices but they can't have both.
putrevus
I don't think you need to put a label or notice one week before increasing prices. You just increase your prices and if anyone asks you can always explain. We increase the prices January 1st week every year. Coke increases prices every year for us why should we not do the same to our customers. We now have locations with only 5 years contracts where we have put in clause "we reserve to increase the price every year". You are doing business not charity. AZVendor
It's professional to put a sign up to communicate what is coming. No law, just good business.
Popular Post putrevus
No the notice acts as a detriment and hurts the your business more than helping. Nobody is giving us notice when they are increasing the prices for inventory or machines. Anyone in right mind would understand prices go up every year.
AZVendor
If you follow news in the vending and food service industries you will know when price hikes are coming. You can argue with me all you want but good business on your end is good business regardless of how any of your suppliers treats you.
