Dixie narco 5591 troubleshooting

Hey all, we’re a firehouse in NYC we recently picked up a Dixie narco 5591 machine trying to get it up and running as a way to raise funds. The issue we’re having is the display shows a row of asterisks followed by a row of zero’s. Any help trying to identify what message means is greatly appreciated. thank you.

That's a known problem in that old machine. If the machine works otherwise, vending and programming, just ignore it. To fix it usually requires replacing the EPROM on the control board.

Could be a mis-match between the logic board and the display board. Might need another logic board.

I would at least try a factory reset.  It's found in Setup Mode (Press service mode 3 times and then press "F".   Make sure to write down your pricing if it's been set.
