gcobio
I am curious of the various ways that might be used to notify customers of price increases. Any recommendations?
Zachsea
Hang a type note inside the snack machine glass (so it cant be removed) stating due to cost increases etc youll be going up in 1 week from posted date. If theres nowhere to hang it inside a machine just stick it at eye level.
Randymire
I talk to management and explain to them the increase in product and fuel prices , they normally understand. After talking talking to management I’ll tape a typed note onto each machine explaining the same reasons that I told management. You may receive some negative feedback from the workers but even if they boycott you for awhile, stand your ground and they’ll start buying again. Price increases are just a cost of doing business. I just had to go up on my vending & coffee accounts also .
Popular Post AngryChris
I used to tell management but i saw way too much pushback. Some would literally try to negotiate and even claim prices were too high, regardless of what other vendors charged. So I only talk with my best accounts. The rest get a paper notifying them of upcoming increases in pricing. If they don't like it, they can try to find someone with cheap prices and crappy service. I don't want those customers anyway. I cancelled on a location because the new owner wanted a commission and he was being a total golpher. When we came in to uninstall, he already had a combo in there. Candy at $1.50, 12 oz cans at 1.25, chips at 1.25 and some were 1 oz!! And the stuff was already about to expire lol! Only the best accounts get special treatment.
Popular Post Southeast Treats
I very rarely give advance notice, perhaps in passing to a good customer contact. When was the last time you saw Wal-Mart or Home Depot post a note saying they were planning a price increase? Inflation is making prices jump and everyone already knows it. I do make sure the new prices are visible on the machine so that users know the correct amount.
