allprovending
How do you convert a 117V validator to a 24V validator on a Royal?
lacanteen
Lets start with model numbers.
cvending
You need tyo make sure the machine is capable of using a 24V mech/validator. We will need a model number as lacanteen requested
Walta
Please give us more information. Otherwise we will waste ever ones time guessing at what make and model BAs you are talking about. First you do not mean “Converting a 117V validator to 24V” unless you plan on replacing parts and rewiring the BA to operate at a different voltage. Do you want to replace a certain 117V BA with a deferent 24V BA and make it work in a certain make and model machine. Is your real goal to make this machine use an MDB BA? allprovending
Its a Royal 660. Most of my Royal 660 or 804 are 24V but I have a few that are 117V or 110V.
AZVendor
Those are all MDB machines so the only validator made that had a basic voltage of 110 but could also do MDB is the Coinco BA and MAG 30 or 50s. Those are 110v validators but with additional MDB capabilities. You have to use a Coinco MDB harness with them.
AngryChris
AZVendor should correct me if i'm wrong, but I think what he was saying was that your machine already supports MDB, but you probably have a conversion harness for the validator. The 24v MDB plug should be there already, and it should be connected to an adapter harness that plugs into your validator.
