Golfdogs
Cleaning up a 5592 to put on location. Using an MEI 2512 and can't get it to accept 5's. EPROM version 30.31a. Have this setup on many machines without issue. Suggestions?
lacanteen
Does the Bill acceptor have a decal, usually yellow saying "2008 currency"? If not, it's only good for the old $5. It should also say "flash port" somewhere meaning it's upgrade able.

Vendors Tech
There are no programming options on that machine for turning bills on or off. If you coin mech is full, the switch for the $5 bill on the side of the bill acceptor is on, and it still won't accept a five, then the validator needs updated. That in turn raises the question of can it be upgraded? If you don't know how to determine that, I can give you some things to check. The easiest thing to check is the color of the lower sensor board. Is it blue or green?
Golfdogs
Why do they make switch #6 the $5 acceptance ? Shouldn't it be switch #5? Apparently to me, it should be???.

AngryChris
Why isn't switch #4 used for the $4 bills too? We should all ask mei about this.
