I want to convert a DN 5591 to a combo

Recommended Posts

You would have to call Crane and ask them.  It's been years since I converted one and I'm sure they are no longer producing the parts to do it with.  You would need three complete shelves, a new recovery unit, new shelf harnesses, etc. It will be very expensive (the shelves were like $400 ea long ago) and the machine isn't worth that.

I think those were called Entray shelves for the DN5591 - way expensive to buy from Dixie/Crane, ended up with a few machines that had em buying out other vendors - one was on location, sold that off as part of a route consolidation the other two sat in the shop until I sold them - not a big fan of combos of any kind so never really tried to find a way to use them

Man.  $1,000 for two shelves is quite a hit.  I could get va 5591 for free but it has a bad compressor. I think I'd have to dump 2k into it to make it a working combo. Or 1k to just get it cooling.
