The Mage
Still waiting for the Langoliers to show up...... Dayum, saw that a while ago, and cannot remember anything about it. And no I don't read Stephen King, though my wife has read most of his books. I tried to read one, and couldn't follow it. (At the time.) It was his fantasy book that he wrote so one of his children, who did not read horror, would read something he wrote. But he seemed to have this style of jumping back and forth through time that I simply could not follow. This is if I remember it right, as it has been a little while since I attempted to read it, and abaondoned it. And I finished my 6th drink, and until now forgot to make another, (sorry, I am failing at being an alcoholic,) but I just made #7.

The Mage
And now for my embarrassing belief that I should not be posting. I believe I have enough knowledge to live to 433 years of age. Actually I believe I have enough knowledge to live to about 110, along with current technology, but that is 65 years away, and I expect to gain another 40 – 60 years by then, and I expect technology to keep bumping that up until I get to at least 400 years of age. (If they haven't perfected immortality by then.) But I realized that if I added another 33 years that I would be able to see the start of another century. The only reason I really chose 400 in the first place is that it has been figured out you have a 50:50 chance of dying as a result of an accident over a 400 year period of time. (Which is why I wear my seat belt.)

The Mage
2 hours left! Mage, the Mayans prophesied the end at precisely 11:11 GMT (6:11 am EST) Well that is the time of the Winter Solstice. And the nice little alignment with the Galactic core. How is everyone enjoying this party? (Which was mostly me talking to myself.) I started feeling the effects of the alcohol, but apparently wasn't drinking fast enough to keep the effects. I was more sober finishing my last drink then I was starting my 4th, and lost interest in drinking. I am an embarrassment to alcoholics everywhere. The Mage
golpher, did I miss the world ending again Oh no, don't you remember? They spent years building up another planet, and we got off just in time. Only the feeble minded, and insane were fooled into thinking it didn't happen so they wouldn't.... uh... No sorry, I mean there was no end of the world. Ignore this whole discussion.

The Mage
... So for the next question... Is reality real? Ah crap, now I have to be serious. Everything we know is a concept. All our experiences are a result of our senses, which pick up, and interpret signals, then our brains have 3 functions, to delete, distort, and generalize that information, this is to keep us sane and functional. The result is that we can never truly know what reality is, but we do share our concepts of reality with each other resulting in a shared reality. Since our reality is something we are always creating, that gives us a tremendous amount of control over what reality actually is, and it can be distorted to our benefit.
