Turn off vending

What would be the best way to turn off vending on a Merlin IV soda machine while leaving it plugged in so that it keeps the product cold.  I would need to turn it off for a couple days.

Unplug the MDB harness to the bill acceptor.

Correct.  Either unplug from the wall, or flip the power switch inside a machine before messing with MDB cords.

You can pull the fuse.

What Chris said.... fuze should be inside top of the outer door, probably in a square holder.  Will shut down power in  the door but should leave the compressor and thermostat active.

The fuse will power down the board to allow unplugging harnesses, but the refrigeration system gets its instructions from the board. Merlin IV is all electronically controlled.

I didn't even think about it to be honest.  I was really thinking.. "is there a power switch that I don't know about?"

Is there a reason you aren't using the "timer controlled selections mode" in the programming? That should enable you to turn off one or more (all) selections for specific times of day, or days of the week.

I do use the timer programming...but this was a temporary request to turn off vending for a couple days.  i didn't want to have to bother with reprogramming the machine.
