Soonerdean
Hello everyone i have an old Dixie Narco 8 select soda machine and up until today she’s been a great machine BUT….today a new problem started. As soon as I put the right Amount of money in the Maxine will instantly vend one selection and does not give me a chance to select anything. Hoping someone can tell me what’s happening. Thank you in advance for any help you can give
NYCandyMaN
one of your selection buttons may be pressed
AngryChris
I had this happen on a 501T. One button was slightly jammed down. It would happen if you pressed hard and to one side. I resolved this the mickey mouse way by using clear packing tape to prevent the button from sliding to the side.
Vendo Mike
Generally just debris or a burr on the button housing causing it to stick. Remove, clean, debur, reinstall. If not the button, the switch itself (or membrane in some cases) is failing and needs replacement.
AZVendor
It could also be a gummed up motor brake that coasts past its stopping point and then is auto selecting when the next credit is set.

Vendo Mike
If the brake is the issue, and the vend complete switch is outside the notch, the machine should call that selection "sold out" or "jammed" . It shouldn't attempt to home that motor again until the door switch is activate. On single price machines, it should be read as a jam and shut the entire machine down. AZVendor
Unless it coasts far enough to trigger the next motor cycle. Some do that and coast farther than the point that opens the vend circuit.
