So as some of you may know, I took over a Gigantunormous bulk candy route this month with 373 machines in 173 locations and since I am just starting up, this has been an amazing feat! The following is a detailed account of my activity over the course of the last few weeks while ramping up to go out. If you don't like all the details about how "I" did it, then scroll to the bottom of this entry to read my first full weeks income report. That's working 3.5 days on the route
Well I added 4 stops today I need to lose 2 so I will gain 2 out the deal. One did a whopping 2.50 and was put in front of the window so the MM's are melted. I will probably run and grab it tomorrow. The other one is a garage. I did 6 bucks last month I don't have high hopes for it on Monday when I check it.
Was up last night until 1:00 am prepping machines to place today. Placed 4 machines today. A single at an old lady hair salon. MM's One double at a small bar. A vendstar triple a
As the date draws closer for me to move into my new high-traffic account, I'm now facing a giant problem. As part of the agreement, I get the space currently occupied by the store's old machine, a Victory Jr. Giant gumball machine, if I agree to take the machine off of their hands. Sadly, I can't find a single picture across cyberspace for one of these machines, so I've slotted in a picture of my brother's chinchilla Oscar. This single machine has been on this location for decades, and has fared
Busy Day today when I got home.

Looking forward to running the
June was my best month since I've been in vending. Saw quite a few machines like this This was not one of my better performers and the machine is only filled half way on most of the rows and is on a 60 day cycle.
Doing the numbers though comparing it to the avg for a single head gumball/candy machine I'm still not doing that well even with this doing my best month with this being a 6
Well no actual success I did get some info found a couple of racks AA equipment No info on them. Big one at a Dollar store and a smaller one at a pizza hut in town. I talked to an owner of a local pizza chain store he had a 5' wizard gumball machine. The comment was He gives me 25% I said I have a small 4 way rack ready soon and it and I can do a 25% on it. Plan to vend some Toys I will probably up the gumballs to Nerds GB BB and some toys and see what happens. He said come back and talk w
I have tomorrow off my regular job so I am going out Locating tomorrow. I have a singe gumball and a couple of doubles I would like to get placed. I need to find one more eagle to go with the 15 I have so I can get all the 4 way racks I have coming set up and looking good. I will probably order 1 new one to go with them 50 cent mech and the XL cabinet to match the other one I will place with it. That or just make a couple doubles out of them. I know a few places I want to hit A BBQ joint in
A teacher I had in grade-school had a little wooden sign on the wall by the other inspirational posters. It read "Sometimes not getting what you want is a great stroke of luck".
Well, as a kid that didn't make much sense to me- if I wanted it, or had planned it and it fell apart, my first recourse was usually panic, followed by devastation. Cliche as it sounds, I think this is one of those things you just don't get until you get older. I think some people out there never learned this lesson. S
Well It is like Christmas in Big Red Land. I filled my little Pontiac with boxes that I picked up from my Pak n Mail store. Still have one yet to get and 3 or 4 more on the way. So I have began the Chore of pulling them apart and cleaning Them Filling a couple and getting them set up to locate. On the NW I got off of Craigslist. I wonder how they actually made any money with them the candy wheels were wide open. I will probably order some triple plates and some double plates to have one ha
In my living room, the closest-to-complete setup yet. The 2 left-most machines have 2" caps filled with "LEGO candy" for $1. The 4th machine is 2" caps filled with LEGO arches, bricks and slopes, as you can see from my Photoshopped sign which is hanging in the machine. Machines #3 and #5 are set for 1" caps at $.50, which I'm still stuffing.
The bill changer is at my bro's shop, where I'm still building a deeper red box to accommodate it.
These machines are bolted to the box tops [i](you
Goals I read Perfoma's vending blog today. Nice to see into your head a little bit. I have enjoyed your comments the last few weeks I have been on here. Thanks to all of you for your support and encouragement.
We all need to have some goals in our Life and our business's (A Man Who Plans Nothing will Reach it Every time) One thing I love about this board is the answers you get. Proverbs 15:22 Plans fail for lack of counsel but with many advisers they succeed. As I start the adventur
Well, after some pressure from Mr. Caserri, I have opened this blog on the TVF. We'll see how that pans out for him. Fingers crossed!
Something that a lot of new vendors face when they start is a lot of resistance- and a lot of new guys never make it past all of that. However, I think a fundamental question every new guy should really be asked is "Why did you become a vendor?"
I think the most common answer is "Money". It varies from "I need some money on the side for whatever" or "It's a

Then also got some more used eagles cheep on auction off of eBay. So I am going to try to locate some single and or doubles in the next week or two when they
And I finally have the demonstration available.
This actually took a lot more work then I expected. (And hope my voice isn't too annoying.) I kept finding things that needed a little change here and there, so made a few changes, and rerecorded these videos. And it didn't help that the video software kept crashing, requiring me to reboot. (I think this was due to a recent upgrade to the video software I am using.)
Also the software I used to record this is limited to 5 minutes (for some rea

Why I got Into Vending MMMMM Crazy like to work for myself somewhat. I got the good job but wife doesn't have much in Retirement at her job. Small Town Newspaper. I have thought about it for a few years. Didn't buy into the Biz Op guys trying to sell me overprice equipment with poor locations. Now the kids are grown out of the house I work Tues-Sat for 10 months of the year. I figured it was something constructive I could do on my Day off. Depending on how large of route I grew. Limited
I've been quiet for a while. Progress has felt slow as I've been building my road cases (and awaiting parts to continue that phase).
Last Friday my brother let me know that 3 more Beavers arrived at his house. Those will complete my planned setup for this August - five NBs + my two cranes.
Also last Friday the bill changer finally arrived (thank you Gumball.com) on my doorstep. This, after two previous companies rejected my orders placed via their websites because they "no longer carry" t
Why am I developing my vending management software, VIKDR, online instead of for the desktop? Isn't a desktop solution what people have been requesting? Why would I seemingly ignore those requests?
Until now, I haven't adequately explained my reasoning, but I didn't just jump to the idea of putting VIKDR online. Before I even started, I spent at least 4 months thinking, researching, and planing what would work the best, would benefit
