Going to be buying a coin counter soon. Dont need a counter and sorter..just a counter. Been looking on Ebay tonight and found Klopp and Happ hand cranked counters..which one would you suggest to count all our quarters? Anyone have a used one forsale?

If you are set on a manual counter, klopp is the name in the game. Why not consider a scale though? A scale is much faster, quieter, and easier than a coin counter.

I have a klopp that works great. I only use it to roll quarters for commission . I can sell it to you if your interested.

If you're bagging your coins and only get quarters then the scale is a cleaner system.  If you're rolling your coins, you'll want the coin counter as they can be set to pause at standard roll quantities.

Either way, this is one piece of equipment where you'll get what you pay for - buy a cheap one and you'll just end up replacing it sooner than later.

I second this. I bought a cheap scale and it is now broken. I am going to pick up an acucount before next service. The Klopp CM is a great unit if you go that route but just keep in mind they are heavy and bulky. It really is more professional, quicker, and quieter to just use a scale. It just makes cents (pun intended).

Mark me as another very satisfied acucount owner.

I have AC603 and love it.

Previously had B101 and thought enough of it to spend money on the AC603 when I needed a replacement.

I did a comparison and general review of acucount on THIS THREAD if you'd like to read it.

I have never used a crank counter because I don't like the noise they make in a location.

I thought about buying one just to use at home, but never did.

The scale is just too quick and too easy.

Andrew..

Andrew..If I pour in a bag of coins off a rack in a location.. sometimes we get nickals, dimes, and pennies..what happens if I pour this bag onto the scale..will the scale count the pennies and dimes and such or just skip them and only count the quarters?

I have a klop coin counter I can sell you and I also have a bunch of 5 way racks in like new condition.they are set up for 75 cent 2 inch and .50 1 inch

Did your bulk route go belly up?

The location i have are doing great.right now I am maintaining more than expanding.I'm not really replacing locations I've lost either.I already own a restaurant which is very time consuming.my business partner at the restaurant will be doing his own thing and I will have to dedicate even more time to the restaurant. I don't have the will to go locating as much as I used to and other priorities are taking over.
